Excellent support

Very good extension, does what it says on the tin and well worth the cost to save time and energy. Excellent support, component initially had an error, but was fixed in next to no time by the developer. Well done!

Joomla Access Control List (ACL)

The most wanted feature of Joomla was probably an advanced permission system, called Access Control List (ACL). Since the release of Joomla 1.6 you are able to define which group has permission to do what on your website, no 'fixed' permissions structure anymore!

The available 'actions' are: Site Login, Admin Login, Offline Access, Super Admin, Access Component, Create, Delete, Edit, Edit State and Edit Own. You can configure these actions on 4 levels: Global configuration, Components and if applicable for a Categories and Items.

The Joomla ACL system is a great way to define your own groups and their permissions. Unfortunately you will probably not enjoy the Joomla ACL immediately due the difficulty to comprehend. The inheritance of permissions between groups and levels and the need to check the settings for a group on multiple 'levels' makes it hard to keep an overview of your permission settings.

This is where the ACL Manager for Joomla extension comes in!

ACL Manager key features

Clean one screen overview

Just one clean overview is needed to understand all permission settings of your Joomla site. Clear icons helps you to understand the settings and to identify conflicts. ACL Manager is a powerful ACL dashboard.

Understand Joomla ACL

Dozens of permission screens, nested User Groups inheriting permissions settings, an action 'denied' that always wins... it can be very confusing. Use the ACL Manager and you will quickly understand the power of Joomla ACL!

Basic ACL support for any component

With ACL Manager you can set basic ACL permissions for any component. Even when the component does not support Joomla ACL by default. This allows you to set custom backend access to components for your users.

Built for Joomla 2.5

The ACL Manager is developed for Joomla 2.5, and is using the Joomla native ACL system. No core/database changes are needed to display the ACL data on a powerful and understandable manner with ACL Manager.

User Group permission overview

The ACL Manager gives you a clear overview of all possible Joomla core permissions settings for any (nested) User Group. The handy sidebar shows additional information about the group, like all assigned Users.

User permission overview

User in multiple User Groups? No problem for the ACL Manager! See exactly which actions the selected User can and can't perform on the site. Information about the User and the assigned User Groups is available in the sidebar.

Time Saver

Configuring the permissions settings for your entire website from one screen, extended with practical information about the selected User or User Group saves you soon hundreds of clicks. ACL Manager is a real time saver!
