ACL Manager 1.1.3 releasedHappy New Year! Let's start 2012 by releasing ACL Manager 1.1.3! With the release of Joomla 2.5 just around the corner I thought it would be good to do some Joomla 2.5 compatibility tests past week with ACL Manager. It was a short test, ACL Manager is functioning as it should in Joomla 2.5 - like in Joomla 1.7 - so no changes needed. You can use ACL Manager right away when Joomla 2.5 is released in a few weeks!

What is new in ACL Manager 1.1.3?

So it is not needed for Joomla 2.5, but I have released a new version of ACL Manager anyway. In this version you are able to navigate directly to the User Group or User overview via the submenu of ACL Manager.

An other new feature is that you are allowed to print the current permission overview. This was requested by several users that like to be able to explain the settings to clients on paper, so here it is!

ACL Manager 1.1.3 is also reducing the amount of database queries, especially useful on some bigger websites with a lot of permissions. The name of 'Installation Manager' is changed in the overview to 'Extension Manager' to match the title of the Extension Manager, and Amharic (the language of Ethiopia) is added to the list of available languages files.

At last a bug which occurs in Joomla 1.6 is fixed (please upgrade your site to Joomla 1.7 anyway!). The permissions table was shifted for some permissions due to the missing 'Offline Login' action in Joomla 1.6.

Get ACL Manager now!

ACL Manager 1.1.3 is available for download for those who have an ACL Manager subscription. Please go to the Member Area and download your copy. No subscription yet? Get your subscription for just 10 euro or read reviews of current users in the Joomla Extensions Directory first! Using ACL Manager? Share your thoughts by adding a review, many thanks!

Update ACL Manager

Updating ACL Manager is easy: download ACL Manager 1.1.3 and install the package via the Joomla installer. It is not needed to uninstall your existing version of ACL Manager first.

Many thanks to all translators of ACL Manager and those who reported a bug and suggestions for ACL Manager!
